As advertised, Mexico City is a vibrant city. Many ethnic groups, often in traditional dress, along with vendors with colorful wares and varieties of foods. Electric and traditional bicycles were available for those wishing to brave the thick traffic - even with designated bike lanes. Also, bicycle taxis, too.
Although we used only a private tour bus, I understand the Metro system encompassing buses, trolley buses and a comprehensive subway system allow for easy and cheap transportation. In one section we drove through there were even aerial trams in some more upscale neighborhoods. Of course there were also plenty of taxis and Ubers as well.
